The Route
These are some leadership questions that really matter. In a way, you have already answered them…we all have. Your belief systems around them have been displayed by how you live; you and have created a brand image in the eyes of your people.
Answering these questions will help you decide if you like your leadership brand. If you don’t, you can change. If you do, you can stick with it.
Through The Route, I take a shot at answering the questions. Feel free to borrow from my perspective.
And yet there is another motive behind The Route.
If we have not crossed paths, I’m just some guy. You have no idea I’ve led hundreds of people, hired six figure leadership teams, held the corner office, managed tens of millions $, started businesses in the US and abroad, and consult companies. If we’ve not worked together, you wouldn’t know one of the greatest surprises in my life was discovering how much I love diverse metro markets. I’m supposed to be a cowboy. But adventures in a tailored suit have been some of the best of my career. Thank God for the variety found in my wonderful life.
“The Route” is me answering questions brought to me over the years. They are critical – we all need to be answering them.
The Route is VERY casual. No scripts. No edits. One take.
The Route is a small, free offering to the people of business. You decide if the gift has any value.
The only cost is your time. So…I guess it’s not free.

"Why The Route may not be for me" and other FAQs:
Who is The Route designed for?
Emerging leaders stepping into new responsibilities or growth.
Why would The Route not be for me?
Probably a style thing. Marc makes points through analogies and films in odd places. So, in one he’s with his horse (Moose), in another with his road bike, then in his studio, and on. You’ll either love this or….maybe you’ll love it. But if you like tradition, the other courses (reflecting a lesser, but present, lifestyle vibe) may be more for you.
How long will The Route take to complete?
There’s 12 videos. They are sent every 10 days. Then it’s over.
What will I get out of The Route?
Teaching in confidence, leadership thinking, self-development, and followership.
How do I access The Route once I enroll?
Just sit there and let the e-mails flow in.
Is The Route mine forever?
Yep. You can re-watch them. Or until XSU goes bankrupt and shuts everything down. That scenario, however, is not part of the XSU Strategic Plan.
When I enroll multiple people, how does that work?
With The Route, it’s best to have everyone sign up on their own. It’s free so no real need for bulk-purchase like the other offerings.
Where did all the curriculum come from?
For two months, Marc kept in mind issues his clients dealt with. When the topics were fresh on his mind, he set up the camera and filmed his answers in one take each time.
Marc (course facilitator) is an Exit Planner. What is that?
Most normal people aren’t that impressed, but it is definitely a thing in the business consulting world. It’s a certification Marc earned from the Exit Planning Institute. It simply means he has training in building business value and de-risking that compliment his real-world experience.
